Preview of Last chapter:  The killer has finally been caught which leads the
end of the "Triplets" case.  Throughout the process, May was stab and sent to
the hospital.....

Chapter 13

At the hospital.... everyone is waiting outside the operation room....
[Quin and Man comes rushing] Quin[worried](May, you have to be alright.):  
Gong Sir, How is May?  
Chi San:  She is still inside.  [The light goes off, everyone ran up to the
doctor]
Chi San [worried][talking to doctor]: Doctor, how is she?
Doctor:  She is fine, she is at a stable condition now.  She was lucky, the
stab wasn't that deep.  She is asleep now.  She will be awake by tomorrow
morning.  So everybody can go home and rest and come again tomorrow
Chi San(thank god):  I want to stay here tonight.  You guys can go home.  
[Man didn't feel great hearing that]
Fei:  Kwan, it's getting late, why don't I bring you home.  
Quin (I don't think so):  No, I'm going to stay here with Gong Sir.  But help
me bring Man home.  [Fei was disappointed]
Quin[talking to Man]:  Help me talk care of Sum Oiy.  She should be asleep by
now.  I will be back after May wakes up.  
Man:  Ok, don't worry.  Call me when May wakes up.
[Quin nods her head]  [Fei and Man left]

At the police station.....
Fei: The doctor said Kin Wah has taken some medicine.  I believe Leung Don
gave it to him.  It will wear out soon.  It's not going to hurt him much.
Gigi:  Thank god, these two have gone thru enough already.
Korean:  But I still don't really understand why one ended up at the ophanage
and the other two with the Chung family?
Fei:  You still don't see it?  Chi Wah was picked up by the volunteer.  But
about the other 2, we have to ask the Chung's themselves.
[The Chung couple comes running up]
Mrs. Chung:  Oh, my baby.  Which one is my baby?
Gigi [shows Mrs. Chung]:  He is Kin Wah.
Ms. Chung [hugs him]:  I'm so sorry you  had to go thru all this.  [kisses
Kin Wah all over the face]  [Looks over at Chi Wah]  This must be Chi Wah.  
[to the cops]  Please let me bring the bothers home.  They are brothers, they
belong together.
Fei:  We are not so sure about that.  Look what has happened to your other
son Bo Wah.  You both don't seem like good enough parents for them.
Mr. Chung:  Please help us, we promise to care for them even more.  After
this incident we know what to do. {chung mmm chee chor meh}  
Gigi:  It's really not up to us but themselves.
Mrs. Chung:  Kin Wah, Chi Wah, are you willing to give me another chance?
[Kin Wah shook his head meaning yes]
Chi Wah (I always wanted parents and I have to take care of my brother so I
will follow him) :  Mommy!  Daddy!
[The Chung couple quickly grab one of each of the kid and hug them tightly.  
All cried]
Fei:  But before you all go, we still have some unanswered questions.  We
figured Kin Wah and Bo Wah are not your real sons, right?  So, how did you
get to raised them?
Mrs. Chung:  We don't really know why they were there but we found them on
the streets at "Wang Chai".  We didn't see a third baby but saw only two.  
They were so cute and adorable, so we took them home.  The main reason was
that we couldn't have babies so we took them and authorized them as our real
sons.  We saw them with gold necklaces with their names on it.  We wanted
them to alway keep something that originally belongs to them but the necklace
has their real last name on it so we went and made changes on the necklaces
from "Kwok" to "Chung".  That's basically the whole story.
Korean:  I guess this will always be a mystery on how they were separated.  
It's all up to fate!
Fei: Wait, then who did Sum Oiy actually talked to?
Kin Wah [cleared his voiced]:  Do you mean a little girl?  It was me!  I got
so scared after Bo Wah died.  I didn't know what to do.  I wandered around
after being beaten by that witch.  I saw a little girl.  She came up and
talked to me, comforting me.   I just told her how I felt at the moment.  She
didn't understanded but I don't even understand myself.   Then I heard voices
calling out Sum Oiy.  So I ran away, back home.  
Mrs. Chung:  Don't worry my son, it's all over now.
[All four of them warmly walked out]
Fei:  Hope they will learn to treasure someone before they are gone.  Before
there is not turning back.
Gigi:  Is there a specific reason why you said that?  Cause I don't really
get it!
Korean:  Hey, mind your business{nei lay duck yun ah}.  [whispering to Gigi]  
Don't you know, he's been acting like a Love Maniac for so long.  {mut lay um
gi mei, cui"him" knee gay pie dou hai gum ga la, dong gi ga ching tea!}  Ever
since Ms. Mo came back, he's been murmuring these things to himself. {gi
chung Ms. Mo fann la, cui chow but see tong gi gay gong yeah ga la!} I have
been observering him.  {or lau yee ho loy la}
Fei[stared at them]:  Hey, don't you have to go to work, now!  {Wei, umm sai
jo ah!}
[David walks in]
David : Leung Don admits everything. She said that she abused the twins
because she believes that they are the ones who killed her child. Particularl
Bo Wah because he was the oldest and he use to pick on her child.
Gigi : but how did she make the twins so frighten of her?
David : she would hit the twins with force and told them that if they ever
told anyone, it would hurt ten times more.
Korean : i can't believe she actually did that. she's inhuman
Fei : who knows. there are many wierd people out there.

Quin and Chi San in the hospital, sat outside of May's room, looking thru the
transparent glass window....
Quin (I don't understand, why he so concern about May?):  Can I help you?
Chi San (Well, she is a psychiatist.  She can tell right off my face that I
have a problem):  Oh, it's nothing.
Quin (Oh, please come up with an better excuse.  I guess the first step to
help is for me to open up before he does!):  When people come up with, "Oh
it's nothing", there's usually something!  I get to know that out of
experience!  Do you remember the time when I was feeling down?  Over Fei and
Chin Chin ?  You came over, reach out and gave me a hand.  I am not only a
psychiatist but also human.  I will understand and do the same for you as a
friend.  First off we have to stop addressing each other as Gong Sir and Ms.
Mo.  Ok?!
Chi San (Wow, she is so understanding!  But that's how all psychiatist are,
aren't they?) [smiles]:  Of course.  Yes, I need someone to talk to.  I'm
really confused.
Quin:  I'm sure it's about May, right? (no duh, it's quite obvious, can't
believe I actually asked that.  Hey, just wanted him to admitt it, hee hee!)  
I can tell, you are over concerned about her.  
Chi San:  Yes, I feel I have built feelings for her.
Quin:  Well, it's normal since you guys see each other almost everyday {yet
gou sung ching}.  But exactly what kind of feelings?
Chi San:  When I saw she was hurt, I got so worried.  I didn't want to see
her go away.  
Quin:  Wait, wait a sec.  You have to get your feelings straight.  Were you
only feeling that way because this incident was so similar to what happened
to Tong Sum?
Chi San (she got me there):  That's what I'm confused about.
Quin (Oh, god!):  As your friend, as a friend of Tong Sum and as a best
friend of May, all I can say is that you need to decide whether you still
have feelings for Tong Sum or that you started to have feelings for May
because of Tong Sum.  I'm glad to see that you maybe very commited to Tong
Sum but I don't want to see you in the future being unfair to May, if you
decide to go for her.   They are both my friend.  But first I have to warn
you is that, May does not easily accept someone.  Especially for you cause
she didn't really have a that good of an impression of you, from what I have
heard. [smiles]  She is a very unopen person.  She haven't made a peep with
me about her since I united with her.
Chi San:  I can tell she is like that.
Quin:  Well, I think she will be happier if she is with you since you are a
very caring and cheerfull person.  I know May is hiding something from all,
even me.  
Chi San:  Really?  
Quin:  Like you said, she is a bootleg copy of Fei!  Not that easy to help
her.
Chi San [shocked] (how did she know?):  Who told you that?
Quin:  Well, actually May did.  (ha ha, busted) She heard your conversation
with Fei.  That was your impression she got!  
Chi San(I didn't know what to say):.......
Quin (another of my friend needs you too): Ok, I don't want to bring this up
but what about Man?
Chi San (Oh my, why is she doing this to me!):  Man, I'll never forget her.  
We will always be friends.  
Quin(isn't that like the most famous line that comes out from men!  So sick
of it!):  Friends?  Ok, I just hope what you are saying to true.
Chi San:  Don't worry, I want to move on, move like you have.
Quin(Hey, don't even try to bring up my problems.  I'm the psychiatist
here!):  Well, everyone has to live their life.  It's got good to live with
the past as now it is the present.  I see you have understand that.  While
someone still didn't get the hint yet!
Chi San:  Call me dumb but you must be refering to Fei!
Quin: Were you trying to be sarcastic, cause I'm not laughing!  Well, please
help me make him understand.
Chi San:  But Fei still loves you.
Quin [immediately answered]:  I know.  That's why I can't let anything
happen.  I'm sure you understand.  You know our problem.
Chi San:  Yes.  Ok, I see.  Well, it's been nice with our talk.  
Quin:  Well, if you have these urges to talk again.  Just give me a call,
I'll think about giving you a discount!
[They both smiles at each other,  Sat and chat for the night]

At Quin's apartment..... Man couldn't sleep, rows her eyes open at the
celling.....
Man (....81 sheeps, 82 sheeps, 83 sheeps.... stop!!   What am I doing, not
being able to sleep over this?  I shouldn't and couldn't be upset.  We are
only friends nothing more.  Why am I torturing myself with problems that
shouldn't be problems?  Oh, Man go to back sleep.  You have to take care of
Sum Oiy tomorrow..... 92 sheeps, 93 sheeps..... )

Early in the morning at the hospital.......
[May's eyes opens and moves her hands.  [Chi San felt it{he was holding May's
hands all night long} and woke Quin up] Chi San: Quin, May woke up!
Chi San and Quin [smiling]: May!  May, you are finally awake.  
Quin:  Let me call the doctors in.
[May felt Chi San's hand holding hers, she quickly took her hand away.  Chi
San felt alittle embarrassed]May:  Thanks but you didn't have to stay by my
side the whole night.
Chi San:  It's nothing, as long as I know you're alright.
May (I don't know why he is saying these things to me, I just don't want to
deal with men at the moment.  I really feel his over concerness.):........


For the past weeks, Chi San has been taking care of May.  Today she can
finally leave the hospital....
Chi San [he is helping May into his car]:  Becareful, duck your head.
May:  Thank you!
[Chi San droved May back home]  [Quin and Man was getting ready for them to
come home]  
["Ding dong"] Quin:  coming!  [opens the door]  Quin and Man: May, welcome
home!
Sum Oiy [comes running along]:  Auntie May, I missed you alot!  [hugs May's
legs because of her height]  May[kneels down]:  I'm happy to see you too.  
Were you a good girl while I was gone?
Sum Oiy:  Yes!
May [talking to the adults] :  I'm alot better now, probably can go back to
work soon.
Chi San:  Don't worry about work now, I'll take care of it.  It's your health
that should come first before you can work.
[May smiles]  {Man felt very uncomforable seeing that Chi San is so caring
for May, it use to be her}

Later at night in the living room, the threesome chat again......
Quin[talking to Man]:  You don't mind if I bring up Chi San, right?
Man(what do think?):  No, I'm over him for a long time already.  I can't see
he's after May now.
Quin:  Ok, yes that's what I'm talking about.  [to May]Are you going to give
Chi San a chance?
May:  The truth, I got his hint and he's been really nice to me for the past
weeks.  But I don't know if I'm ready to accept anyone now.
Quin:  There's always a first.  Give the guy a chance.  He told me his
feeling for you.
Man(Yeah, yeah):  Yeah, give him a chance.  He'll be a good bf.
May [smiles]:  Let's see first.  It's all up to fate{teh ha deem seen la, yah
yuen cuet ding law}  Ok, done talking about me.  [facing Quin] Wow, you're
been getting these roses everyday, am I right?
Quin:  Ok, show me what you got!  {ho, gaw domn fong ma gor lay}
Man:  Sisters are supposed to be like this, you should be ready {jo thea
mui(sisters) hai gum ga la, u yau sum la jung bay}!
May:  Ok, are you going to give that poor guy a chance?
Man: Yeah, he's been so patient.  I mean like what was is?.... about 3 years
already!!!!
Quin:  I know, I know.  But I just don't get that feeling with him. You know
that feeling?!! {or gi, or gi.  don hai or mo gor jong gum kwok.  neigh gi
gor jong gum kwok la!}
Man:  I understand, but hasn't his willingness to wait for you moved your
heart yet? {or ming, don hai cui gor jong(that kind) sing yee lay dung neigh,
jong may dai dong neigh mei?}
May:  Wait, it's that Fei thing isn't it?  {dun yut jun, or gi, hai ah fei,
hai mia?}
Quin(so???): I'm long dead over him, it's just that he didn't hear the bell
ringing!
May:  Don't lie to yourself.{gi gay ock gi gay}  Ok, last words for you.  
Follow your heart!!
Quin:  My heart now saids, it's getting late, go to sleep!!  {sau dong la}
May:  Ok, Ok, shoot yourself.  You don't know what you missing here! {neigh
gi gay chow bow}
Quin:  yeah, yeah, yeah! Whatever.

Next day, Sunday, Quin brings Sum Oiy to play at the park.....
Sum Oiy:  Mommy, Mommy.  I want ice cream.
Quin:  Ok, wait here, don't go anywhere.
[psssst] [Sum Oiy follows the noises]
Quin [comes back and can't find Sum Oiy]:  Sum Oiy, where are you? [starts
running around the playgroung]

Not far away, behind a bush....
Sum Oiy:  Uncle Fei {Fei shuk shuk}!
Fei(here's my chance!)[smiles]:  Good girl.  Fei shuk shuk, will give you
candy if you answer a question for me!!
Sum Oiy [changed her expression, suddenly puts up her right hand, as a stop
sign]:  Wait, what kind of candy do you have first? {dun yut jun, nei yau mei
tong seen?}
Fei(hmmm, not dumb {ga sing mok war}) [Fei quickly searches his pockets to
look for candy]
Sum Oiy: Also, is it the more questions that I answer, the more candy i'll
get??
Fei(yep, got that right from her mom):  I said one question, you greedy
girl!!  Fei shuk shuk only have these. {his case of "Gum Mui Peen"} [takes it
out and shows Sum Oiy]
Sum Oiy:  Ohhhh, my favorite!!!
Fei:  You're favorite?
Sum Oiy [grabs Fei's case of gum mui peen]:  Yes, mommy alway buys these to
eat and I love it too.
Fei(ok, bigger chance of being my daughter!  Not only is she as smart as me
but also eat what I eat!):  Really?!!!
Sum Oiy: Yep.
Fei:  Ok, I want to ask you where is your father?
Sum Oiy:  Father?  [Fei nods his head]  I asked Mommy why my friends all have
fathers but I don't.  Mommy said, my father is at a far away place.  And that
I don't need him cause Mommy is already enough.  So, I don't have a father.
Fei(ding ding ding!):  Is that what Mommy really said?
Sum Oiy:  Yes, Fei Shuk shuk.
[Soon the voice of Quin calling Sum Oiy reached their ears]
Sum Oiy:  Oh, I forgot. Mommy is waiting for me.  [Sum Oiy runs off and bumps
into Quin]  Quin:  So there you are?  Who brought you here?  [Quin then saw
Fei]
Quin[surprised, confused, wondered!]:  What are you doing here?  Wait, don't
tell me.  It's that time of the day where you are suppose to sit here and
pick your fingers isn't it ??!
[Fei was in silence]  [Quin looked at Fei for an answer]
Quin : Why so speechless all of a sudden?
Fei:  What, you told me not to tell you!
Quin:  There's a thing called "figure of speech"!!!
Sum Oiy:  Uncle Fei, called me over to talk.
Fei(damn):  Oh yeah, just wanted to say "hi".
Quin [with an I don't believe you look]:  Are you that pathetic to go after
my daughter?  Get a life!!!  You know what?  I'm going to look back to this
day and laugh my heart out!  Are you that "mo liu", got nothing better to do?
Fei:  Ok, sorry!  Why don't we go out for a drink?  Remember you said, you
would!
Quin(and now I'm regreting it):  Sure what the heck.  [made a 360 degrees row
with her eyes] You sank so low already.  Now, what can  a harmless drink do?

At the restaurant......
Waiter:  Can I take you order?
Fei:  I'll have a tea with honey.{ling mut??}
Quin(he's doing it again):  I'll have a dark coffee {juy fair} and bring me
an orange juice.  
Sum Oiy:  Mommy, I want coffee cake.  [Fei and Quin stares at each other]
Quin [to waiter]: And bring me a coffee cake.  Thanks!
[waiter walks away]  When did you started to drink Ling mut again?
Fei:  Then when did you start to drink juy fair?  I thought you said it's not
good for you.
Quin:  I asked you first.  Anyway, lets not get to it.
Fei [look Quin seriously in the eye and holded on to her arm]:  I want to
know something and want the truth.
Quin(no you're not going to question me about Sum Oiy cause you're not
getting a peep out of me) : What?  [moved her shoulders to make her arms away
from Fei]
Fei:  Is she my daughter?
Quin(when will you know when to give up) [stares]:  What, what are you
talking about?  [chukkles] I see why you changed to Ling Mut now, it's the
caffeine isnt' it?  You must be in la la land!
Fei: Seriously, I'm not kidding.
Quin:  Do you think I'm joking around here?
Fei:  If my calculation is correct, if you had my baby, it would be around
Sum Oiy's age.  I ask Sum Oiy where's her father, she said she doesn't have
one.  And why does she love to eat "Gum Mui Peen" and now the coffee cake.  
And, why did she follow your maiden name? Where's her father?
Quin:  Look, I don't have to explain anything to you.  She is not you
daughter.  [grabs Sum Oiy's left hand and headed her way out.]  [on the way
bumps into the waiter, which cause him to spill hot coffee on Quin's left
hand]
Waiter:  Oh, so sorry Miss.
Quin:  Don't worry, I'm ok.  It's nothing.
Fei [rushed up to see if she was hurt]:  Kwan, are you ok?  [holds Quin's
left hand]  [Quin pulls her arm back from fei] [angryly walks away]
Waiter [murmured to himself]:   That's odd, that was really hot coffee, I'm
surprised she acted like she didn't feel anything.  [Fei heard what he was
saying and was wondering why too]


Fei was upset and went to Quin's and Fei's so called apartment....
Fei(I don't get it.  Is she still mad at me that she won't admit it?  I'm so
confused)  [later his cell phone rings] (hey, it's called from home?  That's
weird?  Oh...)Hello?  Chin Chin?  When did you come back?  OH, I'm driving.  
I'll be home soon.  [made a deep breath and left the apt.]

At Fei's home...... Fei turns the knob...
Chin Chin[came rushing to Fei and hugged him]:  I missed you so much!  
Fei [slowly put his arms around her]:  Yeah, I, I, I missed you too!
Chin Chin:  I'm sorry for leaving without letting you know, I promise you I
would not do it again.  I realized how much I missed and loved you for the
past few months when you weren't with me.  
Fei [smiles]:  Yes, don't do it ever again.

Late at night, in Quin's room, she is having a nightmare.......
Quin [is sweating, rolling her head back and forth]:  No, No, ahhhhh!  [her
body pops up and awakes]  [Man and May comes rushing in]  
Man:  Quin?  Quin?  It's ok.   Oh, my!  This is like the 5th time this week.  
{leen miy gum yut, hai dai umm thea la}
May:  What?  Quin?  Are you ok?  
Quin[breathless]:  I don't understand, It's the same dream over and over
again.
Man:  That hand with a scar on it again?  {yau hai jack sau yau gor ba hun
gor gor ah?}
Quin:  Yes, but I can never see the face of the person that hand belongs to.
May(oh, my god.  Something is happening to her.  She can't remember the past
again, otherwise...) Don't worry, it's ok.  Go back to sleep.  Call me
whenever you need to.
Quin(why does May seem like she knows what I'm talking about.  It took me
forever to explain it to Man):  Ok, I will. [leans back down on her bed]
[Man and May leaves Quin's room]
Man:  I don't understand, it seems like you know something we don't know.  
{or umm ming, neigh ho tea gi dou dee ya or day um gi ga}
May[shakes her head]:  Hopefully, I'm not right about it.  {hay mong, or hai
chor ga la}



Next Day..... at the station.....almost the end of the day for them.......Nam
comes in.....
Nam:  Ok, good news!  The chief of the police department has held an 38th
anniversary ball with his wife to invite everyone in the police force with
their partners!
Everyone:  Wow, yahoo!
Gigi:  I can wear my dress I have been saving.
Sue:  Me too.
Nam [talking to himself]:  This is my chance to ask Quin to be my partner!  
[and wolks out]
May [went out to catch him]:  Law Sir, are you really going to ask Quin?
Nam:  Yes, hopefully she will go with me.
May:  That's great, don't worry, I will make her go!
Nam [smiles]:  Ok, thanks in advance!
Chi San [was standing by the door waiting for Nam to leave]:  May, can I ask
you to go with me to the party?  Pleaseeee?!
May (Since Quin is going, I think I should go to.  And he asked me so I'm
just following fate!):  Sure, why not!  [They walked back in]
Gigi:  Hey Fei gor, Chin Chin came back in time.  Of course she is going to
be your partner.
Fei:  yeah, maybe I'll go.
Chi San:  I don't think Law Sir wouldn't want to hear a maybe.  [Fei ignored
him]
May [was on the phone with Man]: Nam is really going to ask Quin to go.  Yes,
she needs a break, more time to relax.  Anyone who gets nightmares everyday
would go crazy.  Well, she is coming soon to pick me up.  We'll stop by at
your place too then.  Ok, Bye! [hangs up]
Fei [earsdropped on her conversation with Man]:  What's going on with Kwan?  
Is she ok?  What nightmares?  Did she see a doctor yet?
May:  Wait, wait, wait!  Don't worry, she's fine!
[Quin arrives and was about to walk in until Nam comes along and stopped her]
Nam:  Quin!  Coming here to pick May up?
Quin: Yes.
Nam [wondering] (looks at her face) :  You don't look too well.
Quin:  You wouldn't look too well too, if you dreamt of the same thing every
night!  I'm kidding.
Nam:  Did you see a doctor yet?
Quin:  I'm am a psychiatist you know?  I don't think I need one at the moment.
Nam:  So, it doesn't matter, psychiatist are also human, they get sick too.
Quin:  Ok, you win!  [they continued to chat for a little while]
Gigi:  Do you think something is going on between them?
May [quickly interrupted]:  I advise you not to talk about other people while
that person is my friend.  [looks at her watch] Just the right time!  Bye
guys!  [She met with Quin and headed there way out]
Chi San [to Fei]:  Don't look, it'll hurt more!  Just let it go.  She wants
you to be happy with Chin Chin and she means it.  So, I guess don't bother
her now!
Fei [gave him a look]:  What are you trying to do and say?  {neigh law ging
ding jung hung ah?}  I understand.  I want the best for her too.



Tin & Marianne:  We hoped you like this chap, since it's more on their
relations!  We hoped you noticed that we added another character to the
story.  You can probably take a guess on who's he going to be attached to.  
Wondered what happened to Quin's left hand?  Quin's nightmares, ball, etc. is
going to lead to our next case.  Quin will be our star for this one.  But it
seems like only May knows something we all don't know about Quin.  Weird that
even Quin doesn't know herself, why??  Stay tune....
