Preview of Last Chapter: Quin is finally back. She fails to find Lun first.
Quin tells the other half of her story. Everyone arrives to Quin's apt. for
the celebration of Quin's b-day. On that same day, Quin was kidnapped.
Hours later, they claimed to have found Quin and Lun's bodies. Fei felt
mostly responsible and couldn't help it but to let out his sorrow cries.
Korean recognized his skeleton ring next to the so-called Quin's burnt
body....
Chapter 18
AT THE BEACH, WHERE TWO BURNT BODIES WERE FOUND........ (Monday, 5:39 p.m.)
Fei [kneeling next to the body, immediately picked up the ring]: It is, I, I
gave it to Kwan. [began to weep some more]
May [also got on her knees to sorrow heavily.] [The rest of the guys just
felt dolorous {mournful;sad} just by watching them] [At the moment, many
thoughts came into May's mind] [She got up and grabed Quin's ID badge from
Nam and morsefully stared at it]: No, It can't be. Quin told me, she
couldn't find her pass today, this morning. She couldn't have carry this.
It doesn't make any sense.
Nam: Why would the bodies be burnt but their belongings are in perfectly
good shape? Do you see where I'm leading you guys?
Chi San: Look, there's probably more to this then it actually looks like.
Fei, now even May and Law Sir are started to suspect something. You have to
get a hold of yourself. This may not be Quin.
May [wipes away her tears]: You are right. [shakes her head] Fei, there
are great possiblities that these two bodies are nor Quin or Lun. I'm
thinking, someone planned this, ah Lun that is. If you think further, he
might have done this to make us believe that they both died, so that no one
else will infer with Lun's plans in getting Quin. There are many things to
be suspicious about.
Chi San: That is what I'm thinking. Fei, get back into your senses. Quin
needs your help.
Fei [finally got up]: Yes, you are right. She needs me.
Nam: First thing is that we need the examiners to truely examine these
bodies to be sure. Let's all go back to the station for results.
[Fei holds the ring tightly in his hand and sadly walks to his car]
AT THE HEADQUATERS........ (6:27p.m.)
[Korean comes in] Fei: Is the results back yet?
Korean: Fei, not yet. It takes time. I'm rushing them already. [sadly
walks back to his room] [Man comes along with Chin Chin]
Gigi: Hey, Chin Chin. [she walks up to knock Fei's room. She opens the
door] Fei gor, Chin Chin has is here.
Fei[could care less]: What is she doing here? [walks out] Chin Chin?
[signs] What are you doing coming here? It's going to be late.
Chin Chin: I'm concerned. I want to know the results also.
Man: Yeah me too!
Fei [mad]: Do whatever you want. [goes back into his room and slams the
door] [Fei just sat at his seat and continuesly stared at the ring and
remembering the moments with Quin]
OUTSIDE....(6:35 p.m.)
Korean: Chin Chin, don't be mad at him, he's been like this from the
beginning of Ms. Mo's disappearance. This time his emotions are even worse
then that last time when it dealt with you.....you should see him when he saw
the bodies......[Gigi quickly hits Korean]
Gigi: He doesn't mean it. Don't listen to him. [pulls Korean over]
Man: Chin Chin, sit down. [Chin Chin felt extremely bad after knowing all
this]
HOURS LATER (8:12 p.m.)
Fei [couldn't take it anymore, stepped out of his room to wait. He saw Chin
Chin]: David, Sue, it's getting late, can you help me bring Chin Chin back
home?
David: No problem, Fei gor.
Chin Chin: I don't want to go yet.
Fei: We don't need you here. There's no point of your exsistence here at
this hour of the night. I don't want you to get sick. You look tried. Just
go home. [and walks out]
Sue: Ms. Leung, let's go. You should listen to Fei gor. [Man and the
others got her up]
OUTSIDE OF THE PROFILING ROOM............(8:30 p.m.)
May: Hey, Fei! You don't have to come.
Chi San: May, you know Fei. Let him stay.
Fei: You guys waited here all this time?
May: Yes, we are as concern as you.
Fei: They still aren't done yet?
May: Yes. It takes a while. [the 3 sat at the hall, the whole night]
AT 1:00 a.m...... [the door opens]
Examiner: Guys, it's too late. I'm sorry but I have to go home. I'll come
back early in the morning to finish.
Fei: What? We can't wait.
Chi San [trying to calm Fei down]: Fei, let him. It's reasonable. He's
been working for hours. You want the results to be actuate don't you?
Fei [without saying a word, sat back down]
May: Should we go home first also?
Chi San: Yes, we all need some rest. Fei, let's go.
Fei: No, you guys can go. I want to wait here.
May: Fei.... [stopped by Chi San]
Chi San: Don't make him. Let him stay here.
[May and Chi San leaves]
THE NEXT DAY.....(8:30 a.m.)......MAY AND CHI SAN ARRIVES.......
Chi San [talking to Fei]: Anything yet?
Fei: He started at 6. He said, appoximately he would be out by 9.
May: Oh great, [looking at her watch] that's only half an hour more. But,
but what if, what if it's bad news?? I'm so scared at the same time.
Chi San [pats May]: Don't worry, time will give us the answer. In the
meanwhile, let's make this time usefull and discuss about the suspectable
things that are unsolved in this case. I'm sure we all have the same feeling
that the Quin and Lun aren't dead yet. Lun has truely captured Quin this
time. If his plan is to fake their deaths and then run away Quin, where
would he bring Quin? . {See bun}
[They all began to think hard in their minds]
THE STROKE OF 8:59 a.m. CAME..... THE EXAMINER CAME OUT.....
Examiner [holding a folder]: I hope this is the results you all are looking
for. [hand it to Chi San]
May: Who is it?
Chi San: You look for yourself.
May: I can't [meanwhile Fei grab it]
Fei [saw it]: Yes! [ hyperventilating] yes! It's not Kwan! [hugs the
examiner, almost gaved him a kissed but quickly realized he almost did
something he would regret and immediately let go!]
May [smiles]: Thank god! Chi San, it's not Quin!! It's not! [jumping up
and down]
Chi San: Yes, it's not!
Fei [got serious and hold a fist]: Fong Hoi Lun, you're so dead. [and walks
off]
AT THE DISCUSSION ROOM.... (9:17 a.m.)
Korean: I told you all at first, it's not Ms. Mo. Now you guys know you
cried for nothing.
Gigi: Hey, if it wasn't for you, adding more possiblities, we wouldn't have
really thought it was Ms. Mo.
Korean: Ok, sorry but put yourself in my shoe. You would believed it too.
Nam: Everyone, don't blame him.
Korean: Yeah!
Nam: Ok. Everything now is not as important as finding Quin. Her safety is
what we need to care about. I know it's similiar to looking for a needle in
a big ocean but we still have to try our best to do so. We don't know
actually who this Fong Hoi Lun, his personality and behavior is unknown to
us. Can anyone tell me what he actually wants from Quin?
May: Quin, of course.
Nam: Specificly, What is he going to do with Quin, now that he has her?
Fei [got mad and slam the table]: Why are will still sitting here? Kwan is
still alive. We should go out and find her.
Chi San: Fei, get real. Ok, tell me where do we start? In Hong Kong,
saying it's big, it's not big, saying it's small, it's not small. It's not
easy finding a person. How are we going to do it? I know, you are very
impatient but who isn't? We are not wasting any minute here. Sue and David,
they are already sent out to get info. We in this room, are also trying to
find Quin. Our discussion are very important, you know it.
Fei: Enough, I know. [still mad]
[everyone kept quiet] [someone knocks on the door] [David and Sue comes in]
David: We found Fong Hoi Lun's apartments.
[they all got up for their mission]
Nam: What do you mean by apartments?
Sue: He has more than one. That's why it was quite difficult. He can be
in anyone.
MEANWHILE, AT ONE OF LUN'S APT (9:32 a.m.) ......
Quin [tied by the risks and ankles, screaming in a dark room]: Fong Hoi Lun,
let me go. Let me go.
Lun [put his index finger by his mouth, signing to be quiet]: shhhhh. I'm
not going to let you go this time. I have search for you for 5 years. I'm
not going to waste anymore time. You are with me, forever! We will love
each other more than ever now.
Quin: Get real. I will never love you. We are not meant to be together.
Lun [his fist, slams the wall]: No, you will love me again. You will.
[Quin, not even looking at him this time] I know it. I have detailed
knowledge of what happened to you all these years. Your love has be giving
to someone else. That other cop, isn't it? [stretch his arm and pointed]
He doesn't deserve you at all. He lefted you for another woman. On the
other hand, I never stopped loving you.
Quin: Shut up. I don't want to listen to this.
Lun [opens the door and came in]: Kwan, don't worry. We will be able to
start over. Start all over, at a place we both once had our happy moments.
And we will never be apart again....
[Quin, in hearing this, she got awfully scared. Her asthma took
charge.......]
OUTSIDE OF AN APT...... (10:24 a.m.)
[the door kicks open by Fei, the rest charge in to the apt. Searching the
whole apt.]
Korean: Clear
David: It's also clear. This is the last apt. owned by Fong Hoi Lun.
Where can they be. [Fei search the bedroom, he stayed for a while so the rest
went in.]
Chi San [not noticing anything but Fei]: Fei, did you find anything?
[Everyone looked around the room and they were in shockness]
Gigi: Oh my god.
Sue: This is scary.
Korean: We are dealing with a nut here. [they all saw that the wallpaper
for the room was the pic of Quin.]
May: Fei, what are you looking at?
Fei: They must have been here before. They left just not too long ago.
Look, the cigar is still lighted.
Nam: Where could they have gone to now?
Chi San: We might have just missed them.
Fei [turned his head and then picked up something]: I get it now. Where
everything started is where everything is going to end. He is bringing Quin
back to England, where they met in the first place. [shows it to them]
May: Airline tickets? He forgot to bring it.
Chi San: He's not that smart is he?
Nam: What are we waiting for, let's go. [on the way....Nam takes out his
cell and dials] Ok, help me pass this on. Remember the names Fong Hoi Lun
and Mo Siu Kwan, don't let them get on board. Stall them as long as
possible....
AT THE NEW AIRPORT..............(11:34 a.m.)
Lun: It's almost our turn, Kwan. We will go back to England and start over.
[Quin didn't bother to look or say anything to him.] [Lun didn't mind and
began to get ready and looked for the airline tickets.] Where are the
tickets? I can't find them.
Quin [smiled]: I told you, we are not meant to be. Even fate is stopping
us.
Lun: I don't believe it. [grabs on to Quin's hand and went off] [on the
way walking, they heard 2 officers chatting.....]
Officer 1: Did you get the order too?
Officer 2: Yes, we have to find those two. Luckly the whole airport is
surrounded by cops now. We are bound to find them, he can't get away.
Lun [got furious hearing this]: That's what you think.
Quin: Lun, please don't do this. I don't want to see you being cuffed.
Lun: See, you care for me.
Quin: I never said I didn't. I don't love you but I always treated you as a
friend.
Lun : No. I'm not going to give up that easily. If I don't get you, I'm
not going to let anyone else have you. You will belong to me, no matter how.
Even if we end up in hell.....
THE TEAM ALL ARRIVES AT THE AIRPORT (11:41 a.m.)......
Officer: We have surrounded this airport. It's impossible for him to get
away.
Nam: Good job. But are they anywhere in sight?
Officer: Not yet, they are hidden somewhere. We can't seem to find.
Korean [surprised and shocked]: Law Sir, look ahead. Fong Hoi Lun. [They
all turn to look at him]
Fei [angryly ran up to him, then grabed on to his shirt]: Where is Kwan?
Tell me where she is?
Lun: I see you are Tsui Fei. Don't worry, [let out an evil laugh] she is
fine. We will alway be together.
Fei [hold up his fist and WHAM, punched him on his face]: I'm not playing
games with you, where is she? [was pulled back by the others]
Lun [wiping his bleed away]: Who do you think you are? If you really loved
Quin, you wouldn't have hurt her so much. I'm telling you, if I can't be
with her, no one else is going to. No matter where I led her to, I will
follow her.
May: What are you talking about?
Lun [made an wicked laugher]: Oh, I just remember, she has asthma, doesn't
she?? [laughed]
Let's see, how long do you think a person will live, inside a box, under a
condition with only certain limit amount of air for survival?
Fei [trying to get his hands on him]: What did you do with her?
Lun: I told you, I would rather want her dead, to have her be with anyone
else. That is especially you. You, are the most undeserving one to get her
love.
Fei: If anything happens to her, I'm going to kill you. [pulled back by Chi
San and Nam]
Nam: Calm down. Don't listen to him. Finding Quin ourselves is the most
important thing to do now. Officers, take him away.
Lun [while being taken away by the officers]: Good luck in finding her.
[and laughed]
[then he somehow got lose and took out a knife and stabs himself]
Nam: Quick, call the ambulance or bring him to the hospital. [they pull Lun
away]
May: He really would want to die with Quin then to leave her alive with
someone else.
Nam: Well, the opposite of love has alway been hate. Forgot about him,
let's find Quin.
Chi San[ quickly went up to the imformation counter...]: Miss, [showed his
badge] can you help me find out if there are any products in boxes being
shipped to anywhere today?
Teller: Ok sir, let me find out. [started to type on her computer] Yes, I
found it. There are 500 boxes of cotton being shipped to the U.S.A. today.
May: Can you tell us where they are being kept?
Teller: At those storage rooms. Right there.[points]
Nam: Let's go. [all arrived outside of the storage rooms] Ok, let's all
separate. There are 10 storage rooms filled with these boxes. Phone each
other, when you find Quin. She must be hidden in one of the boxes. We can
not give up. [they all got into one room. Fei went into one by himself]
IN THE SAMETIME....QUIN, INSIDE ONE OF THE BOXES......
Quin: Let me out. Help, let me out. [kept on banging on the box] (It's
useless, no one is in here. No one can here me.) [Began to cry. At this
time, all she can think of is Sum Oiy.] (She is still so young. I don't
want to leave her yet. Why?) [Then the next thing that came into her mind,
is Fei. Flashes of him, kept on passing by] (I don't want to leave. I have
many things I want to tell Fei. Tell Fei about Sum Oiy. Tell him, I care so
much about his too, I missed his alot. I would do anything to see them now.
God, please help me.) [Tears kept on rolling down and all she is hoping is
to see Fei.]
FEI, HALF WAY DONE WITH OPENING THE BOXES......
Fei [continuesly, tearing open all the boxes in site. Not taking any
chances]: Kwan, where are you? Kwan, please be ok. [Fei endlessly,
searched thru all the boxes] She's not here. [ran out and went into another
room. He began his immediately search again.] Where are you? [while on his
process of breaking opening the boxes, he heard something. Something which
sounds so close and fimilar to him]
[The song, "Big Big World", is being hummed] Fei[felt like a mircle]:
Kwan?! Kwan?! Are you here? [listening to the humming] Yes, Kwan you are
here. [quickly search the boxes, even faster this time.] Don't give up,
Kwan. I know you are here. Please continue to hum.
[Almost half thru with the boxes but sadly, the humming had stopped and all
he heard was puffing, and breathing hard noises]: Kwan?! Kwan? What
happened? Please don't stop the humming. I am getting closer to you. Kwan?
Is it your asthma? [began to worry and started to cry] Kwan? Don't give
up, no don't leave me. [freaking out, endlessly going thru as much boxes as
possible]
[Quin inside the box, was having an asthma attack. Not for long, the
atmosphere became all silent...]
[Finally got up to a box, he felt that she must be in here] Fei: Are you in
here? [This box gave more difficulty in opening it. The taping, cover uping
and closing techniques were stronger and obviously different from all the
previous ones he opened. But he saw holes on the boxes. With all his
strength and might, he finally opened this box.]
[The first thing he saw was Quin, he weeped in joy] Fei: Kwan, I found you.
Kwan! [he saw that Quin seems to be unconscious, he got scared again]
Kwan? Kwan? Get up. Please, get up. [Fei thought that Quin gaved up
already. He kneeled down by the box to cry.....]
Tin and Marianne: Now we have reached here, what is Fei going to do? It
took Fei so hard to find Quin, had Quin truely given up this time? It's
quite obvious that Fei loves Quin a whole lot, what will happen to the two?
Do you think Lun is deserving to die, will he die? Stay tune....
