Preview of Last Chapter: The whole team encounters that Quin was raped before. Vincent Cheng is now being the target. Fei finds Quin after work and confronts her. Chin Chin some how shows up and made the situation even worst. Quin thought it was outrageous for Fei and Chin Chin to show up and act like this. Chin Chin's unreasonable remark made Fei angryly put a quick slap on her......
Chapter 23
May [Angryly]: Shut up. {Sau Sang ah} Yeah, that was a good slap. {Come duck ho} [Came face to face with Chin Chin. Couldn't stand what she just said, while her remark kept on flashing in her mind, which made her madder than ever.... Chin Chin made a shuttle backwards. Quin and Nam had to hold back May, May and her anger.] [A "ssppp" sound was made but all were too emotional to notice that noise.]
Chin Chin [Kept her hand on the part of her face that was slaped]: Fei, you slapped me? You never even yelled at me before. You slapped me for this woman? [Points to Quin] I did so much for you, I love you so much and this is what I get?!
May [refering to Chin Chin]: Oh be quiet. I can't believe you. How can you even say this. [Looking at Fei] And you, Tsui Fei, I don't believe why Quin will love such a person. All these years, what have you given her? Nothing but long nights of lonely sorrow cries? And now you are even considering on questioning Quin about your daughter? She never tried or even hoped that oneday you would find the truth and go back to her. All she wants is for you to be happy. Who else do you think Sum Oiy's father can be? She is your daughter. Quin was never....[Quin interupted]
Quin: May. Don't.
May: Quin, I know what you are doing. But I have to defend for you. [Made an stare at Chin Chin and then tokes a deep breath] Quin was never raped before. I, I WAS RAPED. [Raised her voice] It was I who was raped. [Again tears came rolling....kneeled on the ground...Nam holded tight onto her to show he is by her side.]
Quin [upset to see May's expression]: May. You shouldn't have. This is what I don't want to happen. I'm sorry.
Fei [Shocked as ever, finally knew he had made a big mistake coming here]: Kwan, May, I'm so sorry. I, I...
Quin: Look are you two. Are you happy now? So you got what you wanted?! I'm so disappointed. Tsui Fei, you have hurted me numerous times but this time is the worst. Now that you have also made my best friend suffer because of your so-called wanting the truth. Because of you being so naive, you have made everyone unhappy. Why do you two have to be like this? Why can't you just live you life together and leave me alone. I have tried so hard, so hard. too hard, I'm too tired. I don't want to play anymore. Yes, I admitt I still love you no matter what, but if this is what I will get in return again and again, I will never love again. [Quin felt relieved after she let out everything she wanted and didn't have the courage to say before. ] [Nam helped Quin and May get up gently.]
Nam [In between, dismayed]: Oh my, Sum Oiy?!!!
[They looked away... all noticed Sum Oiy was standing by Man acrossed the street.]
Sum Oiy [came running]: Mommy. Auntie May, Uncle Nam. [grabed Quin's hand, she slowly turned and looked up at Fei. Fei was hoping that Sum Oiy was going to call him. If not father, atleast a Shuk Shuk....] [Sum Oiy just stood and stared at Fei. Everyone sensed that Sum Oiy kinda knew what's going on....]
Quin: Sum Oiy.
Man: Hey, I was giving you guys hints but nobody noticed us. Sorry and yes, she heard what you all think she heard. Understanding it is another thing. [Went over to see how May was.]
Sum Oiy: Mommy, why is Auntie May crying? [Went to hold on to May's hand] Auntie May, don't cry! Uncle Nam, go make Auntie May better.
Quin: Sum Oiy, Auntie May needs to go home first. Go help Auntie May back home. [Sum Oiy follows Nam, Man and May in the to building... on the way, Sum Oiy's eyes kept on looking at Fei] Ok, Sum Oiy's gone. I can tell she knows something. Look, I really don't want to talk anymore. I don't care if you believe me or not now. Think and do what ever you want. I will not stop Sum Oiy from knowing the truth. If you have made a decision that concerns Sum Oiy, let me know. Other than that, I don't want to have anything to do with both of you. [signed] [Turns to Chin Chin] Chin Chin, can I have a word with you? [They walked a few blocks down]
[Chin Chin is in a very embarassing position. Can't tell apart if she is right or wrong at the moment. She didn't even want to face Quin when they talk..]
Quin: Chin Chin, look at me! [Hold her on her arms] I don't know if you remembered or not..but 3 years ago after your incident...after Fei and I parted....we had a talk before. I made a promise to myself...I reassured you that it was the right thing, that Fei belongs to you...that you two have wasted enough time....and I was the right person to be sacrificed. I told you..told you that I can not take anything away that never belonged to me in the first place. And that I love no one more that myself, well now no one but my daughter. I meant that. Till this day, I still always keep that in mind. Please take my words for granted. I never intended to do anything to corrupt your relationship with Fei. The day I said those words to you...I meant to take it seriously and keep it forever. About Sum Oiy, I didn't want to tell Fei because I didn't want us to affect your relationship with him. But I know sooner or later.. this secret will eventually be told. I really hope what happened today will not affect the relationship you have with Fei. I'm sorry if it did. But please keep in mind that Fei loves you, only you and that nothing will come between you guys anymore. In the future, whatever Fei decides to do, it will only be because of Sum Oiy. Him and I...well there won't be him and I. Again it will only be because of Sum Oiy. I hope you fully understand everything now w/no misunderstanding, please! Ok, that's all I have to say. I'm sorry but for a long while, I really don't want to have anything to do with both you and Fei. But in the inside, you both will be my good friends...I will not forgot that. I really need time, time to settle my emotions. I hope you understand that too. [Turns her direction back to her building...on the way saw Fei. He had heard everything. But she still continued to walk, not giving him any attention at all.]
Fei [sadly]: Kwan! Kwan? I'm really sorry. [He knows whatever he says now can't ease the situation. He turned around and walked. Chin Chin wordlessly followed him.]

Quin [Just entered the apt...talking to Man]: Hey, how is she doing?
Man: Still very emotional.
Nam: Um, tell her I'll help her get a few days off, till she is back to normal. [May comes out.]
May: No, Law Sir. It's ok. I feel my personal emotions will not affect my working abilities.
Nam: But....
May [Interupted]: Law Sir, Please?!
Nam: Ok, ok. If you insist.
May: Thank you!
Nam: I guess I will leave now. [Nam leaves, May goes back to her room]
Quin [just dropped on the sofa]: Why? Why does everything have to end this way? I really tried, I tried so hard to prevent this result. I didn't mind if he misunderstood me but why, why did he have to force May, force her all the way to the end of the cliff.
Man: Quin, I know my words may not help at all but please it's not your fault. You are also part of a victim. Please, get some rest!
Quin: Thanks Man.

AT FEI AND CHIN CHIN'S APT...
Fei [Sitting at his sofa...all he could think of was what just happened] (Today I finally knew what Quin had said to Chin Chin on that day. I was always wondering why Chin Chin was constantly smiling to me that day. I understand now. Ahh, Kwan! It's always her. She's.... I'm really sorry. After all she has done...[signs] I don't want to disappoint her again...)
Chin Chin [Sitting from the dinner table] (I have been watching him all night. It's already, 2:00 a.m. and he's still like this. He haven't said a word to me since we came home. I know what he's thinking and feeling but I don't want it to happen. I know I'm being selfish but isn't all women like that?!) Fei?! [walks over] It's already 2. You need some sleep.
Fei: Don't bother me. I want to be along.
Chin Chin: Fei.
Fei: Please go. [Chin Chin leaves him alone...Fei sat till sunrise...]

EARLY AT THE HEADQUARTERS.....
Nam: Ok, does everyone understand? Do not mention anything anymore. It's over.
Everyone: Yes sir! [All saw that May is about to enter the room. Everyone went back to their places]
Nam: Good morning!
May: Yes, it's morning! Look, Law Sir, I'm ok. I'm over it. [Walks in and greeted everyone but then noticed Fei. She walked up to him.]
Fei: You have something to say to me?
May: Don't disappoint Quin again... and, and Sum Oiy needs a father!
Fei [smiles]: Yes, I know what to do now. I'm glad to see you are better.
[May shakes her head up and down...smiles back]
Nam: Ok, you two. No more chit chatting. We have missed alot yesterday. Ok, Fei and May, come in to my room in a few minutes. Chi San will go over what they had discussed yesterday.
Fei and May: Yes, Sir.

OUTSIDE OF NAM'S OFFICE.....
May [came out, looking surprised]: Vincent Cheng Huck...Vincent! Ok [smiles] (He's mine, this time!)
Nam: May, I hope you don't feel discomfort over this.
May: Oh, no. I think I'll enjoy this case! [Walks off]
Chi San: What's with May?
Fei [Shook his shoulders]: I don't know.

BACK TO THE HEADQUARTERS.... the four walk in as they finished the discussion...
Sue[popped up from her seat, while having the phone on her hand..]: Law Sir, there's new info. [Still on the phone...suddenly became shocked] Oh, thank you very much. [Hangs up]
Nam: Sue, what is it? New info on Cheng Huck?
Sue: Yes, Law Sir. Ummm... [began to hesitate]
Korean: Oh no, now you're playing that game too???
Fei: Just say it.
Sue: Ok, I was searching for Cheng Huck's full background, so I made contact with people/officers of England. They told me that they had criminal records of Cheng Huck. [May just stood still and stared.]
Nam: What kind of criminal records?
Sue: He was once charged for a crime but then it was canceled by the victim herself.
Korean: What crime was it?
Sue: Raping.
Gigi: What a coincidences.
Korean: Then what about the victim?
May: It was me.
Tin and Marianne: Is May really over it or she is just pretending? She does not feel bad bringing up her tragic anymore, cause she even admitt to everyone is was her! Now, what is May going to do? Of course do all she can do to arrest him then punish Vincent legally! But is Vincent really guilty?? Is Fei finally going to authorize Sum Oiy as her daughter? But now the thing is, if he does, will Sum Oiy accept him?? She may be young but she knows what's going on. Is Chin Chin going to prevent this father and daughter reunion? We'll be right back.....
