Preview of Last Chapter: Quin thought Stanley and Vincent's conversation was a bit shady. May over reacted about Vincent's appearance at the restaurant. Fei is in a slow process of trying to convince Sum Oiy to accept him. Nam realized that he has feelings for May. Quin is hiding a secret which is meant to be a good surprise. During the chat, Quin acknowledged another reason to be distruthful over Stanley. An anomyous letter was sent to the police station. It released more clue for them to follow which cause them to be alert over Stanley now. Quin's sudden disappearance distress everyone.....

Chapter 26

AT THE HEADQUARTERS.....
Nam: May, What are you trying to say?
Fei: Are you saying that Stanley may be involved with Quin's disappearance?
May: I know I shouldn't always think on the bad side. But she really didn't mention anything about a vacation to us. Wait, she did repeatedly told us to take care of Sum Oiy for her. I'm so muddled now.
Fei: Let me go question that Stanley.
Nam: No, Fei. That will alarm him. I don't want him to know that we are suspecting him now.
May: We can't just sit here.
Chi San: But we can't do anything else.
Fei [reminded himself to be more calm]: Then I guess, all we can do is to report Kwan's disappearance as a new case.
Nam: Yes.
May[Surprised to see that Fei is so still over Quin's disappearance.]: I have nothing else to say then. [stepped out]
Chi San [went up to Fei]: Fei, are you really that tranquill??
Fei: I'm sure Kwan wouldn't want me to lose it. I have to show her I changed, changed for the better that is! I'm worried but I'm not the old Fei that would've start wandering around pointlessly. I learned it from her! [smiles]

A FEW MORE DAYS HAVE PASTED... IN "YUN OIY HOSPITAL"....
[Quin is sitting on her bed while the doctor explains her condition...]
Doctor: Ms. Mo. Don't worry, just a few more observations and you will be able to leave the hospital.
Quin: Earliest?
Doctor: Mostly likely, tomorrow. Don't worry, I will inform you as soon as possible. Your arm is healing quite fast. You will be able to move it like a normal arm by next week.
Quin: Thanks Doctor. [Doctor smiles and leaves]
[Quin leaves the room and heads to the vending machine for a quick snack. On the way, before she turns the corner, she hears loud talking. She took a peek, it was Vincent on the phone. She was ambushed and didn't want to let him see her. But she couldn't help but to stand by and earsdropped.]
Vincent [on the phone]: Stop molesting me. What, I'm not going to help you anymore. I told you before. Stop bringing up what happened in England. Do remember you threaten me. You were going to tell everyone. If it wasn't for that reason, I wouldn't have betrayed my own girlfriend. Those cops are still on to that case you recently did. Now you are even thinking about creating another victim? No, that woman has a kid. You are insane. Just forget it. There's no way I'm going to get involve this time. You almost cost me my future. And don't forget, those lousy cops are also suspecting me for this one too. So end of story. [Madly hangs up]
[Quin had to assimilate everything that just took place. She couldn't believe what she just heard. If she filled in the blanks, she practically had the idea of the conversation. Suddenly, she reminded herself that Vincent just hung up. She rapidly charged back to her room. A moment there, she anxiously didn't know what to do. She went for her pocket and took out a tissue. Not knowing it, she dropped her box of "gum mui peen" on the floor. While Vincent was going to head back, he saw a woman(Quin) rushing to go somewhere. He looked down and saw the box of "gum mui peen". He was thinking it most have been that woman's property. He wanted to call out but that woman was in such a hurry that she was already distances away. So, he pick it up. Then an old lady came toward Vincent...]
Vincent: Ah Pal{grandma}, why did you come out. It's colder in the hallways.
Grandma Leung: Ah Lok, you took so long.
Vincent: I'm done now. You are sick, let's go back into the room now. [On the way, he thought again. He noticed that, that woman's back figure looks some what fimilar to him. He kept on pondering....]

IN QUIN'S ROOM....
[Quin sat on her bed. The only thing in her mind now is what she just heard. She had to put things in place of order. She spent the whole night meditating. Worrying what she should do next, she finally came up with an answer.]
Quin: I have to do it for May.

NEXT DAY....IN THE AFTERNOON.... Quin opens the door to her apt....
[Quin finally came home. She walked around to see if anyone was home. She was all alone. She put down all her stuff. She began to search around the apt for an item. Finally, she found it. She took out a camcorder. She had an idea to make good use of it. She hid it at a place where it can record a great view of everything. She had a plan in mind. She wants to reveal Stanley's deviant true self. She already called for the worst that can happen to her, She is expected of anything that might happen, so she wants to use the camcorder as evidence. She knows that today, Sum Oiy goes to an afterschool program, where as Man and May will work late.]
[As soon as Quin assembled everything, she took her cell out and took a deep breath. She started to dial for Stanley.]
Quin [on the phone]: Hello. Yes, this is Quin. Are you busy now? Great. I need some assistance. My kitchen sink seems to have a problem. Do you mind if....oh thank you so much. I'm at the streets now buying stuff. Can you come over to my apt quick. The apt. key is under my "Welcome" carpet outside. The tool box is on the table. I'll be back soon, so see you at home. [Hangs up]
[Quin headed her way out. She went down to a nearest park around her apt. She wanted to spend away a certain amount of time before she goes back up. So, she sat nervously and waited for time to pass. She kept alert of the time.]
[5 minutes later, Stanley get up to Quin's apt. He showed a wicked excited expression on his face. He had something else in mind besides fixing the sink. He kneed down to get pick up the key under the carpet. He quickly stepped into the apt. Before he actually fixed the sink, he walked around the apt., to learn this environment. He turned on the tv, just for the heck of it. He soon got up to the kitchen sink. He figured the problem quite fast. Well, it was simply obvious tho cause Quin had to do alittle damage to it first. He was quick at fixing the problem. He then had an evil urge to call Vincent....]
Stanley [talking on his cell, in the kitchen]: Well, well, well. [At this point, May entered the apt. She felt restless after her day of searching for Quin. Stanley is too busy trying to flatter himself all over Vincent. She saw that the TV is on but no one was around. She was wondering who would be at home in this hour of the day. She walked near the kitchen and heard talking noises. She looked in and there was Stanley. She is very curious in why Stanley is here and she got interested into his conversation on the phone...] Surprised I don't need your help this time! I can succeed without you. [laughs] I'm already at her apt, it's too late. When she steps in, everything will change. [May was shocked as ever. She just stood there, couldn't make a move. Unlucky, Stanley has already finished the conversation. He stepped out. May and Stanley looked at each other.]
[May was hyperventilating. She got scared. She affright that history might repeat itself again. By seeing how frighten May is, he knew right away that she had heard what he said on the phone.]
Stanley [May repeatedly shuttled backwards, while he slowly step by step came closer to her]: This time it's not me. I'm not going to let you ruin my evening. [May fell on the floor, quivering constantly, feeling assailable. She just didn't know what to do. Stanley dragged her into a bedroom. May felt a stream of frailty in her. The door is slamed....]

AT THE HEADQUARTERS.... [Everyone was out working, while Fei sat at his seat thinking about everything. Then the phone rang....]
Fei [picked up the phone]: The police station.
Anonymous person: Listen to me. If you want to save Mo Siu Kwan, go to her apt. immediately.
Fei: Who are you?
Anonymous person: There's no time, go now. This is no joke.
[Fei dropped the phone and ran out. On the way, bumped into Nam.]
Nam: Fei, what's the rush?
Fei: Someone called and told me to go to Kwan's apt. Something might have happened to her. Call for backup immediately. [rushed out]
Nam: Fei, wait for us first. [signs]

IN FEI'S CAR...
[Fei is driving like a drunken driver. He is so scared. He couldn't let anything happened to Quin. He is not taking any chances on risking if Kwan is actually in trouble or not. He just want to know if she's save at the moment. That's all he had in mind.]

MINUTES LATER...BACK AT QUIN'S APT....
[Stanley just came out of the room. May is tied up with tape pasted on her mouth. He didn't do anything to her because he wants Quin. He sat on the sofa waiting for Quin to arrive. May knew his intentions, so she began to make alot of noises in the room. Stanley couldn't stand it and went into the room....]
Stanley: What are you trying to do? [slapped May a couple of times] Don't make this harder than it is. I'm telling you, she's mine today no matter what you do. So, just settle down and watch. [May shook her head, making alot of noises] You better shut up or.....[Fei was outside of the apt. He heard low volumed screaming noises and beatings. He got so scared and furious at the moment...he kicked open the door. It caught Stanley's attention. Fei came in and saw Stanley next to the room door but May was inside so he didn't get to see her. May, with lack of strength sat there. She couldn't do much but to take the attacks before. Not knowing that it is May and not Quin, he was very concerned and worried.]
Fei: So, it's really you. [took out his gun and aimed at Stanley.]
Stanley [Quickly grabed on to May but Fei still couldn't see her with parts of her hair covering her face. Showing that he might kill her.]: Don't move.
Fei: Let her go.
Stanley: Put down your gun first. [shouted] Now.
[Fei had no choice but to do as he say. He hardly was ever menace like this before but he had to in order to save Quin(assumming that it is Quin). He slowly drop the gun on the floor.]
Stanley: Slide it over here.
Fei [kicked the gun to him]: Ok, calm down. Let her go now.
Stanley [picked up the gun and now aimed Fei]: Don't try anything evasive with me. I have a hostage......

DOWNSTAIRS, AT THE PARK....
[Quin had alot in mind. Quin is mooting away her thought. But she has done so much already. Her mind is having a debate inside. She decides to call Nam and tell what she knows.]
Quin [dialed for Nam]: Hello.. Nam.
Nam [is on his way to Quin's apt. with other officers behind.]: Kwan?? Where are you?
Quin: I'm at a park, near my building.
Nam: What? Fei said you are at home. He thought you are in trouble. He rushed over there. [checked his watch] He should be there by now. If it's false alarm, why didn't he inform us?
Quin: Huh? Oh my g.....Stanley is up there. Wait, what can that pervert do with Fei? No, what if an accident happened already? Oh no....I'm going up there now. [hangs up]
Nam: Kwan? Kwan? Don't go. Damn. Hurry up, Korean.
[Quin ran as fast as she can. She was so impatient with waiting for the elevator, she ran the stairs. Thank god she only lives on the 5th floor.]
[Quin finally got to her destination. She is still trying to catch her breath. She saw the door open. She went in and saw Fei and Stanley struggling.]
Quin [called out]: Fei
Fei [He thought he heard Quin's voices, so he turned over and look... and there is Quin]: Kwan. [He was so happy to see that she's alright. But then he is now wondering, who's inside then.] Kwan? [Giving all attention to Quin, he forgot about Stanley. Stanley took this chance and kicked Fei away. Stanley quickly grab the gun on the floor. Quin awares that Stanley is on the verge of shooting Fei. All she can think of is to pull over Fei. She, at her fastest speed pushed Fei away but unluckly, she wasn't quick enough to bring herself away also. She was shot by Stanley. Fei couldn't believe his eyes....]
Fei [shouted]: Kwan. [immediately hold on to her tight. He putted his hand on her wound.]
[Another BANG sound was made. Stanley fell on the floor. May shooted him from behind, aiming from the bedroom.]
May: Quin! [crawled her way up to Quin. Both Fei and May was weeping by Quin's side]
Quin [breathing hard]: Promise me, when I wake up...Sum Oiy has already accepted you. [faints]

Tin and Marianne: Ok, What will happen to Quin? Is Stanley dead yet? Who made that call to the station? Will Quin's wish come true? What is the whole story behind Stanley and Vincent?? Will Vincent ever find out who that woman is from the hospital??? To be continued.....
