Preview: After minutes Fei lefted the hospital, an unknown person approached Quin's room and shockingly disconnected the oxygen tank attached to the mask.....
Chapter 30
IN THE HOSPITAL...QUIN'S ROOM....
[Quin is now left alone in the room, helplessly gasping for air. Lucky, not for long a nurse entered the room. She was stunned to see this picture...]
Nurse: Oh no, doctor. [She ran out looking for the doctor.]
IN FEI'S CAR....[In the cd player, Fei was listening to "Big Big World" easily now. He was driving home like usually but suddenly something came up. He thought what happened to his cell phone. He began searching.]
Fei: I most have left it in the hospital. [He made a big U-turn heading back to the hospital route...]
BACK TO THE HOSPITAL...FEI HAS FINALLLY ARRIVED....
[Fei took the elevator up, reached the floor Quin was settled at. He then saw nurses and doctors running back and forth. He thought it was stranged but it never even came to mind that the reason was of Quin. As he walks closer and closer to Quin's room, he also heard more and more footsteps. Now he sense a problem and began to worry. He quickly ran his way to Quin's room, holding the sides of the door with his hands and with his head sticking in to learn the happenings. He saw the doctor in the inner room through the transparent glass. He quickly tried to open the other door. A nurse caught him in time.]
Nurse: Mister, you can't go in yet. The doctor is at work in there.
Fei [rolled out his eyes]: What? What is going on?
Nurse: Mister, I think it will help if you step aside for a while.
Fei: No, you have to tell me what happened to the patient. What happened to her?
Nurse: Mister, I am unsure myself but please if you want the better for the patient, you have to let the doctor work and not disturb him.
[Fei became wordless, he plaintively sat there to wait, to wait for someone's assitance, wait for an answer. He couldn't take it anymore, he walked up and watched through the glass. His watery eyes suddenly became falling drops of tears. One drop after another ran down his dark skinned face. His heart is beating like a repetitive drum. As he brushes his tears away with his hands, he remembered the same position he was in 3 years ago. His heart felt like it was being pulled out of his system. Even though his view is constantly being blocked by the bodily motions of the people inside, he still empathizes Quin's situation and suffering. He feels his profound love for her over and over, the love of wanting her to survive this. He soon remembered, he placated his emotions. He knows this is the Fei, Quin wants the most...]
NOT FOR LONG...
[Everything seems to be settled inside. The doctor came out.]
Fei [bellowed with a befuddled expression]: Doctor, doctor, how is the patient? How is she now?
Doctor: Calm down, just calm down. [Had his hands on Fei's shoulders.] I am sorry that you had to sit and watch our resue procedure for Ms. Mo. It is not the way it looks. Ms. Mo was not in that bad of a position. The oxygen mask she was breathing from got disconnected. Lucky, a nurse found out in time to save her, otherwise.... But anyway, Ms. Mo is fine now, she is very stable at the moment. [Fei felt a bit of relief overall.]
Doctor [Turned to a nurse.] : First of all, I want to know how it got disconnected? Can someone answer me?
Nurse #1: Doctor, I don't know. I asked everyone, no one knew. I found her their unconsious as I step into the room.
Doctor: It couldn't have disconnect itself. Someone must have moved it.
Nurse #2: I don't know if I should say. I encountered something before we found out about the patient's condition. I saw someone in disguised, quickly ran down staircase A. This person most likely came out of Ms. Mo's room.
Fei: Are you positive?
Nurse #2: Yes, I wouldn't kid about this.
Fei: Is it a Man or a Woman? Describe this person's features.
Nurse #2: Um, I can not tell.
Fei: What?
Nurse #2: I'm sorry. [Fei still stunned by this incident.]
AT QUIN'S APT.
[Everyone has settle to discuss the situation. The only face expression everyone brought up was depression.]
May: Why? Who is still after Quin?
Man: Thank god she over came it this time.
May: Yes, but what about a next time? What if it happens again?
Nam: May, calm down. [May got annoyed and faced the other way.]
Fei: I'm not going to let it happen again.
Man: Who is watching Quin now?
Chi San: Don't worry, Korean and Gigi are taking the night shift.
AT FEI'S APT....[Fei just got home.]
Chin Chin: Fei, why are you home so late? Are you hungry? I made instant noodle.
Fei:.....[silently sat on the sofa.]
Chin Chin: What is going on? Did you eat yet? [brought over the bowl of noodles.] Here.
Fei [Stared at the noodles. He slowly tilted his head, realizing how much he missed Quin. He pushed back the bowl.] No, it's ok. I don't have an appetite.
Chin Chin: Is something wrong?
Fei [Few drops of tears slowly made it's way down Fei's face. He raised his head, wipe his tears away and took a deep breath.]: I have to get going now. I won't be home tonight. Someone tried to kill Quin today. I have to watch her. Becareful. [Immediately walked out the door.]
Chin Chin: Fei, Fei?! [It doesn't take a math magician for Chin Chin to figure out who the "she" is. She angryly threw the bowl forcefully at the wall.] Why is she doing this to me? I can't even beat a half paralyzed, helpless woman. [angryly made a straight stare.] She's winning me on a bed. Why is that? [Out of nowhere, she took out a knife. She stared at it for a while. She then pulled down her sheeves and aimed the knife on her arm(below her risk). It turns out that she has been cutting herself many times before by the showing of the scars on her arm. She is getting ready to run the knife on her arm again....]
THE NEXT DAY, IN THE HOSPITAL, 11:49 P.M.....
[Fei has been personally watching over Quin for a few days. He is not taking any chances of another attack. Korean came in.]
Korean: Ah Fei, it's pretty late now. You must be very tired. Let me take over.
Fei: No, it's ok. Thanks for the offer but [begins to yawn].
Korean: Fei, you need rest. You are not superman. Take a good rest and come back tomorrow. Don't worry, two pairs of eyes will always be better than one.
Fei: Two? [looks around for the other pair.]
Korean: Yes, Gigi is only purchasing goods at the cafeteria.
Fei: Can I trust you?! [playfully asking]
Korean: Yes, I'll try my best. [smiles and Fei slowly walks out still taking the last glance at Quin.]
FEW MINUTES LATER....[Korean's phone rang]
Korean[answers his cell.]: Hello?! Gigi.
Gigi[on the other line]: Korean, I just realized I don't have enough money.
Korean:[smiles]: What? haha!
Gigi: Stop laughing. Do you know how embarassing this is?!
Korean: Ah, no.
Gigi: Just get over here. And bring money.
Korean: Ok, ok. I'm coming. [Both sides hung up. Korean quickly left the room. Leaving Quin alone and unprotected.]
[A pair of eyes hiding in exit A, carefully watched Korean leaving the room. Unexpectedly, the killer has came out to strike once again. Without anyone's supervision, this person is seizing the moment. This person opened the door to Quin's room. What is he/she up to this time? This person is trying to figure the options he/she has to do away Quin's life. He/she soon noticed that the oxygen mask has been taken off already.]
The person[looks at Quin's hand]: The IVs. [This person quickly hold up Quin's hand(the back of it) that is attached to an IV. He/she hardly pulled the IV out, from the underskin, touching on the vein of Quin's hand. Bleeding immediately took action. It is a fact that Quin is surviving uponed salt water. Quin has now lost connection from the salt water and also experiencing eternal bleeding....This person must be very cruel to want Quin die in such pain. Even though she doesn't know the pain she is experiencing, it is still extremely harsh. In seeing this, the person took fast action and ran his/her way out of the room. On the other end of the corner, a nurse, walking up, saw a figure passed by, heading the exit.]
Nurse: Hey, who are you? [remembering that someone has once attacked this same patient before, quickly ran in the room to check. Seeing May coming along, she called out.] Madam, the patient was attacked again. [pointed] The person ran out from the exit. [May took a quick glanced at Quin's condition]
May: Call the doctor. Don't just stand there. [She immediately ran down the stairs to go after the killer. [They were on the 10th fl. With all her power and skilled/trained abilites, she ran as quickly as possible. She finally got the picture of the target. It is man. Oddly, she is hearing more than one person's footsteps. But she left the thought from being too concentrated on the chase. On the way, dialed for Fei...] Fei, where are you? At the parking lot!? Great. A man, has attacked again. Yes, calm down first. Run up from Staircase 1 now to trap him.] [May hanged up and called out.] Don't let me know who you are or else...Stop running. [There were no reply or sound after 2 minutes of chasing. May finally met up with Fei.]
Fei: May, I don't see him or anyone.
May: Damn, he most have gotten away from entering one of the floors.
Fei: But that means he's still in the hospital.
May: Yes. [both ran down a few more floors, heading to the Main Monitor room.]
AT THE MONITORING ROOM OF THE HOSPITAL....
Fei[talking into the walkie talkie]: Yes, tell everyone to standby at all entrance of the hospital. Report any strange, suspicious suspects. He may be in disguise.
Nam [took over the walkie talkie]: According to May's description, this man is dressed in black jacket and blue jeans. Keep in mind of that.
Voices out of the wt: Yes, sir.
Korean [came in]: Fei, May, everyone. Ms. Mo, lucky lives through this one too. They stopped the bleeding already and her blood pressure is back to normal. [Everyone got relieved.]
May: If he gets away this time, then God has no eyes.
AT QUIN'S ROOM...Man is sitting aside Quin....
Man[carefully watching her]: Why are all the bads happening to you? Poor thing. Your color is so pale. [Someone knocks on the door. It appears to be Chin Chin holding a basket of fruits.]
Chin Chin: I have came to pay Quin a visit. Man, you look awfully sad.
Man: Thanks for your concern but Quin, Quin just survived another attack.
Chin Chin: Oh my. I freaked out when Fei told me that someone tried to kill her earlier. Now it's happening again? This is so terrifying. [worried expression] Than what about Sum Oiy? She's home alone?
Man: No, our neighbor is watching Sum Oiy for us. We are all not going to leave one step away from Quin. Fei and the rest are all busy still invesigating. [just popped into mind] And you shouldn't even be here. The killer is still in the building so you have to leave asap(as soon as possible).
Chin Chin: Ok, but inform me if anything happens. [Man nodded her head and CC heads her way out.]
IT IS NOW 5 A.M.....on the 10th fl. hallway....[Everyone has just finished searching every floor. But still no sign of anyone suspicious.]
Nam: I won't enjoy saying this, but let's call it quits.
May: I can't even imagine how he could have fleed out with over strict observation all over the building.
Fei: There can be any possiblies or an easy spot we missed.
Korean: Do you think he might have disguised himself as a doctor or staff and left the building? Hey, that is the way it goes in movies.
Gigi: Not the time for jokes.
Korean: Sorry.
Nam: But needless to say, that is one possiblity.
